Bess Streeter Aldrich House

Picture
The Bess Streeter Aldrich House is a major attraction in Elmwood, and people from all over the nation come to tour the house. The Aldrichs moved to Elmwood in 1909 and built the house in 1922. Touring the house is a great way to gain some insight into who Mrs. Aldrich was. The house is located at 204 East F street in Elmwood, Nebraska. The house is open from 2 to 5 p.m. The cost for tours is $5 for adults and $3 for children, age 6-12. The house is open Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, May through October, and November through April it is open on Saturdays and Sundays. The tour takes about 45 minutes and is well worth the investment.
